Welcoming Ministry

Our Welcoming Ministry assists new parishioners and their families to get to know our parish. We are here to support new members and make them feel at home. We have a large parish with many activities so we help people meet new friends and sign up for activities they are interested in.   We also help new families with parish registration, school applications, and just navigating through unfamiliar areas. We want newcomers to love our parish as much as we do!  If you have any questions about our ministry or you would like to join our team please reach out to Louise.

Meet our Welcoming Ministry Team:

Hey my name is Louise. I’ve been a member at st. Joseph’s since I was seventeen. We’ve been so blessed to have raised our family of four kids in this vibrant Catholic community. I look forward to meeting and welcoming new members and helping each one to feel at home as they grow in faith love and service with our Lord and each other.

My name is Erlinda.  I've been at St Joseph for 4 years.  I love the
church and the parish family. I joined the welcoming ministry because I love
meeting people and sharing the love of God with others.

My name is Ed and I’ve been a parishioner of St. Joseph’s for, oh my, the last ½ century on and off!  It is an incredibly vibrant and wonderful community!  So, I’m looking forward to help others connect and join our bigger parish family to get to know our diverse members!

Hello, we are Hans and Burgel. Forty-two years ago we were strangers
to St. Joseph's Parish. Now we want to welcome new parishioners and help them to feel at home here too.

My name is Tiffany. I have been a part of St. Joseph parish for a few years now and served in various ministries. I am looking forward to welcoming anyone, new and returning,  to our faith community!

My name is Charlene and I am a retired nurse, mother, grandmother, and I am a widow. I enjoy volunteering so I connect with others and feel useful.

Hello! My name is Ellen and I just recently got married, moved to Langley and started attending St Josephs. In short, I know how it feels to be the new person! I would be overjoyed to meet you, and welcome you into deeper relationship with Jesus through our parish.

We are Lucy and Don and are especially interested in welcoming people to the parish.  We have moved around a lot and know what it is like to make a new beginning.  We are especially interested in welcoming people from other countries.  They have  amazing stories and so often inspire us with their deep and profound faith.
